I accompanied YB Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin for the completion inspection of Taman Awam Miri Rock Cliff Park, together with Cr Sean Huang (Chairman of the Tourism and Business Event Development Standing Committee), Tuan Che Abu, City Engineer, and officers from Miri City Council who were involved in the... project.

The park received an allocation from Premier Abang Jo through YB Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, with the vision of transforming this area into a public space that is not only recreational but also educational for the community.
.
This visit brought back personal memories for me. During my first year studying geology, this was one of the sites for our fieldwork. Observing the rock outcrop, drawing geological sections, identifying features, and recording our findings. Seeing it now developed into a public park is truly meaningful.
.
Moving forward, it would be wonderful if more geological information panels could be added to explain the rock formations and history of the outcrop. This would not only educate the public, but also inspire and help train future generations of geologists, while preserving the scientific value of this unique natural feature.

Our first Mobile Bee for the year 2026 was carried out by the comrades from SUPP Miri (Piasau) Branch, marking a meaningful start to the new year of community outreach.

During the session, we engaged with members of the public, listened to their concerns, assisted with registrations for ...various government initiatives, and extended our New Year greetings. We also took the opportunity to distribute YB Datuk Sebastian’s 2026 calendar, sharing well wishes and staying connected with the community.

We will continue to bring our services closer to the people through regular Mobile Bee activities and look forward to more engagements with the public throughout the year.

Had a wonderful gathering celebrating an eventful 2025 for our Miri Foochow youth. It made me reflect on how much has changed over the past ten years since graduate, from the early days of rushing to gatherings straight after work as young adults, to today where many of us are in our mid-30s, ...bringing along children and filling the room with laughter.

I accompanied YB Mayor Adam this morning on a site visit to Jalan Merbau, in front of Hong Leong Bank / Mega Hotel to check out the ongoing rectification works following the road subsidence issue near the sewerage system.

During the visit, we received a briefing from the Sewerage ...Services Department Sarawak, Miri Division, on the cause of the problem and the progress of the works. The contractor has been working continuously since last weekend to stabilise the area, replace the faulty parts and ensure the road can be safely reopened as soon as possible.
.
While the road closure is necessary for public safety, all parties are making every effort to complete the works within this week, subject to weather conditions. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation and will continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure the issue is properly resolved.

Last week SUPP Miri (Piasau) Weekly Mobile Bee was held at Miri Open Air Market and Unity Market# on 21 December 2025 in conjunction with the Winter Solstice celebration. It was a meaningful outreach session where we connected with the community while celebrating this traditional festive occasion ...together.

Together with our Branch Vice Chairman Sdr Daniel, Branch Women Chief Sdri Li Foong, Cr Tan, Cr Lisa, and fellow members from the main committee, Youth and Women Sections, we distributed Datuk Sebastian’s 2026 calendar to the public. More importantly, it was a valuable opportunity to engage with residents, listen to their views, and strengthen our bond with the community. We have our fellowship and enjoying Tang Yuan together reminded us of the importance of unity, warmth, and togetherness. We will continue to bring our service closer to the people and stay connected with the community through our weekly Mobile Bee initiatives.
